NA YIN · 纳音 26 OF 30
大溪水 · Water of the Great Stream
dà xī shuǐ · the Na Yin of 甲寅 and 乙卯
大溪水 Water of the Great Stream, dà xī shuǐ, is the Na Yin of the pillars 甲寅 and 乙卯: a Water element with an image of its own, one of the thirty Na Yin of the sixty-pillar cycle. Any pillar of a chart, and any day in the almanac, that is 甲寅 or 乙卯 carries it.
Na Yin 纳音, the "received sound", gives each pair of pillars in the sixty-cycle an element and an image of its own. It is read alongside the elements of the stem and branch, not instead of them, and the element it names can differ from both.
